Regional Information
Regionals are the State Qualifying Tournaments for Varsity Wrestlers. Only one wrestler per weight class can be entered and can compete.

This year, CHSAA has assigned both the boys and the girls to compete on the western slope. The boys will be at Fruita Monument and the girls will be at Grand Junction Central High School.

Regionals will be the weekend of February 11-12. We have hotel rooms booked for the team and coaches. Our booster club is looking into securing a block of rooms as well for families that want to go and watch. Many families have already secured rooms that weekend.

With that said, there are still a few weights that need to be finalized due to weight class shifts, injuries, and other reasons. I think this most applies to our girls team, but there are a few weights that are not finalized for the boys too. We will be addressing these issues with the boys and girls this week.

The team is staying at the Hampton Inn in Grand Junction.

One final note. CHSAA and NFHS have granted permission to wrestle the boys tournament on one day. This is both good and bad. I am waiting to hear about the regional schedule from Fruita. The girls regional will be a Friday/Saturday event.
